What is Gold Share?
The part of an approved task's reward that is paid out as real digital gold, instead of as a cash promise.
When a parent approves a task, the reward splits into a gold share and a cash reward. The gold share is real gold, bought at the time of approval, not a points balance.
Only a parent can buy or sell gold on the family account. A child sees their gold share grow with each approved task, as part of a savings goal, but cannot trade it themselves.
UpZi does not promise the gold share will be worth more later. Its value can move up or down, and the point is building savings over time, not guaranteed growth.

- When it's bought
- The moment a task is approved
- Default split
- 80% of the reward by default
Gold Share vs Gold SIP
A gold share comes from one approved task's reward, bought at the moment of approval. A gold SIP is separate: a standing weekly or monthly purchase a parent sets up directly, not tied to any task.
Frequently asked questions
Is the gold share real gold?
Yes. It is real digital gold bought when a task is approved, not an in-app points system.
Can my child sell their gold share?
No. Only a parent can buy or sell gold on the family account.
Is a gold share different from a gold SIP purchase?
Yes. A gold share is bought when one task is approved. A gold SIP is a separate, recurring purchase set up by a parent on a weekly or monthly schedule.
Does the gold share go toward a savings goal automatically?
A child sees their gold share grow with each approved task as part of a goal, but it's the parent who decides which tasks and goals it's tied to.
