For Parents
UpZi for Parents New to Pocket Money
A simple way to start, without having to decide every rule up front.
Starting pocket money for the first time raises a lot of small questions: how much, how often, and whether it should depend on chores. UpZi doesn't force one answer, it just gives a structure to try one out.
The challenge
Families starting out often aren't sure what amount is reasonable, or whether tying money to chores is even the right approach for them.
How UpZi helps
A parent sets a reward for each task individually, so there's no need to commit to a fixed weekly amount before trying it out.
The default 80/20 gold-to-cash split gives a starting structure, and a parent can change it for any task once they have a feel for what works for their family.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to decide a full pocket money system before starting?
No. Start with one task and its reward, and adjust the amount or split as you go. See our guide to pocket money by age in India for a starting range.
